Hi, I'm Niall Doherty and I created _A Course In Courage_.

The idea for this course originated back in January 2011 when I did a
little project for my blog called . That prompted me to go out every
day for five days and do ten things that pushed me out of my comfort
zone, such things as singing on the street, getting a piggyback ride
from a stranger, hopping on a random bus, and flirting with some
extremely attractive women. When it was all said and done, I found
myself left with unprecedented feelings of self-confidence and
empowerment.

This course is designed to help you feel the same way.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is for anyone who might need a little help and support in
building up their courage muscles. You must be willing to face your
fears and step out of your comfort zone regularly to get the most out
of it. Don't expect to sign up, read through the content and instantly
feel more courageous. That's not how it works. You will be called upon
to take regular courageous action. The course content and community
are there to give you every advantage in mastering whatever fear you
might encounter, but ultimately it will be up to you to kick its ass.

Niall has put together a course that manages to be totally in depth,
yet not overwhelming. In this type of course, this is essential. You
need to be able to ease into your own fears and tackle things at your
own pace. His challenges from beginner to advanced are excellent.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. - Sean Ogle,

WHO IS THIS COURSE NOT FOR?

You won't get the full benefit of this course if you live in a remote
area, as lots of the challenges are best undertaken in public places.
You may also want to pass on this course if you already consider
yourself to be a very courageous person who has no problem facing and
overcoming your fears.

By signing up for this course, it is also assumed that you are in
good mental and physical health. If you have any serious health
issues, drug problems, or suffer from depression, suicidal thoughts,
or pervasive negative emotions, please skip this course and seek the
assistance of someone with suitable training and expertise. Please
read before signing up.

Every day Niall faces fear and does not let it rule him, and he does
this thoughtfully, always trying to leave the world better than he
found it. With A Course in Courage, he has built a system for you to
GET COMFORTABLE FACING YOUR FEARS. A Course in Courage teaches you to
build habits that allow you to face your fears, and to face life, with
thoughtful confidence and strength. - Sypros Heniadis,

WHAT DOES THE COURSE CONSIST OF?

There are FOUR MAIN PILLARS:

* First are THE CHALLENGES themselves, examples of which you can see
in the right sidebar. As of this writing THERE ARE 109 CHALLENGES IN
THE COURSE, with plenty of supplemental info there to help you make
your own attempts at them. I’ve also broken up the challenges into
different sets, so you can focus on overcoming a specific fear, or
start with a bunch of beginner challenges to get warmed up. I’ve
tried to ensure that there are plenty of worthy challenges there for
everyone. See the sidebar for a few examples.
* The second pillar of the course is . It’s easy to chicken out of
a challenge when nobody knows you’re doing it, so the community
aspect of the course is there for everyone to hold each other
accountable, to provide that little extra inspiration and motivation
you might need to step outside your comfort zone. It’s also the
place where we can discuss the challenges, ask questions, and report
on our successes. (Note that a premium membership is _not_ required to
post in the forum; ).
* The third pillar of the course is THE EMAIL SERIES, featuring a
dozen exclusive articles on the subject of courage. After signing up
for the course, you’ll regularly receive a new article in your
inbox. While the challenges aim to get you taking action out in the
real world, the email series will focus more on the intellectual side
of the courage dealio. To give you a taste for it, here's a free
sample article from the series: .
* And finally, there's THE RESOURCES SECTION of the course. As well
as recommended reading and viewing lists, this section includes a
bunch of video interviews with courageous folk (many of whom you'll
probably recognize from the blogosphere), discussing various aspects
of fear and bravery.

I don't quite know how you've managed it but reading through the list
of actions in the course, you've made them seem not only easy to
achieve but important to do. I was quite worried about signing up
because I thought they would all be outlandish and beyond me but they
aren't and they also make a lot of sense. - Caroline Leon,

To get what you want in life, you must develop the courage within
yourself to make it happen. Niall has designed a course that takes you
by the hand and walks you through this process. IF you give your full
efforts to this program, the results will be beyond what you currently
believe is possible. - Mike Roberts,

MORE ABOUT NIALL

Over the past decade or so I've learned a lot about fear and what it
takes to overcome it. I was the shyest and most timid person I knew
all through my teenage years and into my twenties, rarely taking any
risks, always fading into the background. Eventually I got sick of
living the forgettable, regrettable life and so started consciously
stepping out of my comfort zone, forcing myself to confront my fears
and move beyond them. Nowadays I still get scared, but I'm no longer a
slave to fear. I run towards instead of away from it, doing such
things as...

*
* Admitting to the world
*
* Moving 4,000 miles away from home
* and starting my own business
*
* 1,141 kilometers through two foreign countries

You can read lots more about me over at my main blog, , or contact me
via if you have any questions about the course.
