From the E-Desk of Mathew Dixon

Dear Friend,

Playing guitar for yourself and for others is one of the most fun and rewarding things you can do.

But most players spend years struggling to learn how to just play parts of their favorite songs.

How would you feel if someone asked you to play a song and you told them, I can play the intro?

That would be embarrassing.

Even if you find a great teacher willing to show you all the tricks, when you get home the teacher is gone and you practice alone.

No wonder so few people can play.

No wonder so many people quit.

And no wonder it is so cool when you hear someone who can.

After 15 years of teaching literally thousands of students of all ages and all playing levels, I have come to realize one simple thing.

It’s all about how you start.

How you start determines the future of your playing!

Not just what you learn, but how you learn it.

The 3 Secret Chords Nobody Tells You About…

You may not know it, but there are thousands and thousands of chords.

Where do you start? How do you learn them all?

The truth is you will never learn them all! And even if you could, you don’t need to.

After years of teaching guitar, I have narrowed it down to 3 chords that not only sound good, they are easy to play, and are widely used by the biggest stars in music today.

What are these 3 magical chords you ask?

G, Cadd9 (also know as C2) and D!

These 3 Chords make up what musicians call a 1, 4, 5 progression. Later I’ll share with you a list of awesome songs that you will be able to play using them.

The secret lies in the Chord voicing (shape/fingering of the chords). There are so many different ways to play the same chord. I have chosen voicings so easy you will be able to leave one of your fingers down in the same place for all 3 chords. How easy is that?

How to train your Fingers

I know this sounds a little funny, but your fingers are going to do all the work for you. Yes, all the work!

But first you need to train them, and train them correctly.

Remember this secret: the slower you move, the faster they learn.

It is a fact! You can never practice too slowly.

Your body’s muscle memory learns the same whether fast or slow.

Each lesson is designed to repeat slow accurate movements. As you progress, the tempo increases. Make your actions deliberate and correct, not rushed and random. Your fingers will memorize the movement. Each day they make the same movement and each day it becomes easier, until all you have to do is think G Chord! And they jump right to it.

Here’s what you get –

The three incredible chords broken down into 9 audio lessons.

An easy to understand Guitar Monks Absolute Beginners Guide E-book that clearly explains everything you need to know to get started.

We recommend that you start by alternating lessons 1, 2, and 3.
Lesson 1. G to Cadd9 at 45 beats per minute (BPM) Lesson 2. Cadd9 to D at 45 BPM Lesson 3. G to D at 45 BPM
In these 3 lessons you will be playing along with real sounding drums, real bass, and an accompanying guitar strumming each chord twice just like you. The chords are played in different orders at a slow tempo of 45 BPM for over 4 minutes. When you’re done put the guitar down and let your muscle memory go to work for you.

When you can play along with lessons 1, 2, and 3, you’ll be ready for the next 3 Lessons.
Lesson 4. G to Cadd9 at 60 BPM Lesson 5. Cadd9 to D at 60 BPM Lesson 6. G to D at 60 BPM
As soon as you can keep up with the 60 BPM in lessons 4, 5, and 6,

You are ready for the challenge of the last 3 lessons.
Lesson 7. G to Cadd9 at 90 BPM Lesson 8. Cadd9 to D at 90 BPM Lesson 9. G to D at 90 BPM
That’s a total of NINE LESSONS!

And these Lessons have only one purpose – to help you get ready to play great songs!!!

What’s does it all $COST$?

The average cost for just one thirty minute guitar lesson is $25 dollars. Do that every week and it’s $100 a month or $1,200 a year. And that’s if you drive to the lesson. A teacher coming to you, doubles those fees! As you can see, the price will really add up – and you still might not be able to play the songs you love! A smarter choice would be to stay home, learn at your own pace, and play 17 great songs in just one weekend!

You could spend months in lessons before you would ever learn 17 songs.

But now, Guitar Monks brings you The 3 Magic Chords!

Practice as often as you wish, wherever you wish. At home, the office, the park, or the beach! It doesn’t matter! Your audio lessons are always there, and with loads of online video examples helping you every step of the way, you can’t help but learn. All of this is yours for only $19.95. Don’t Wait!
