Over the years I have worked every position in the health clubs
from checking in members at the front desk, assistant manager, general

should be and here's why: In today's economy people are looking for

health. So by offering group training you will make MORE money while
your clients SAVE money.

Here's an example: If you charge someone $50 an hour for a private
one-on-one session, they have more of a chance to cancel and keep
rescheduling on you. Which ultimately delays the progress of reaching
their goals and makes you look bad. Now if you switch to group
training of 4 people, they are less likely to cancel because their
group is counting on them to show up and vice-versa. You can also
reduce their rate by 60% and charge them $20 instead of $50. Now you
are making $80 an hour ($20x4 people) and delivering more results.
Imagine what you can do when you run boot camps like I did. Charge $10
a person with 20 people in my classes 4 hours a day Mon-Fri. I was
making $4,000 a week and only working 20 hours. Talk about finally
reaching my DREAM JOB!

Analogy: This is exactly why I decided to spend the time to write

Introduction
You will make a lot of money if you simply follow my marketing
techniques. I recommend that you read this entire book and do not
procrastinate. Take action immediately! Remember that you can get all
the advice and tools needed to be successful but ultimately it comes
down to you. Just like your personal training clients receive the best
instruction and advice on how to reach their goals yet a lot of them
do not get there because they do not follow your program correctly.
This is a whole other topic but for the sake of making an analogy this
is a close relation. I have personally tested all of these marketing
techniques on my own fitness business and have found that you can make
a lot of money just by picking one of them alone and implementing it
to your personal training business. Think about once you have all 9 of
these techniques working for you at the same time. The best thing to
do is not spread yourself too thin. Pick one of my techniques and blow
it out of the water. Meaning master it and then move on to the next
one. Before I get into these out of the box ideas, you need to first
understand why traditional marketing does not work so you can stop
wasting your money.
Why Traditional Marketing Fails
Traditional marketing does not work in the personal training industry
because there needs to be a stronger pull to your services other than
just placing ads all around town and online. No one is going to open
up the newspaper or see a billboard for a personal trainer and pick up
the phone and say “okay I’m ready to drop hundreds of dollars on your
services and I don’t even know who you are.” Trust needs to be
established first. So you can stop spending time and money on
newspaper ads, magazine ads, online ads like Craigslist or pay per
clicks, handing out business cards, residential flyers, mailers, and
anything else that does not allow YOU to get their contact information
so you can follow up with them. Lets face it, the type of people that
need a personal trainer or weight loss in the first place are most
likely hard to motivate and have trouble leading themselves. So you
need to lead for them and that means to stay on top of them by phone,
email, and in person. So if you haven't figured it out by now you have
to build trust by GIVING them something. This is also complicated
because in today’s society GIVING someone something usually means that
there is a catch or they will get ripped off. So by following my
tested and proven methods, this will clear up their hesitations. You
have to give them at least 1 to 3 free sessions and I am sorry but
that is just the way it goes. You have to trade your time as part of
your marketing to earn their trust and show them that you can get them
to your goals. It will clear up any personality conflicts and also
give you an opportunity to show off your wall of testimonies, which

generating machine. Remember that you have to get people in front of
you and build trust before you can sell your services, so lead
generating is the next biggest thing you can do. This is an idea that
I woke up with one morning after staying up many nights in my
