New Series : Who do you think you are? - now showing on BBC

If you are of Irish blood then you are almost certainly proud of the fact. Today a growing number of people all around the World feel the need to seek out their ancestry and family roots here in Ireland no matter how humble these origins may have been. Nothing could be more natural for civilised man to take a keen interest in his or her ancestors. We have, as never before, a desire to pass on to future generations the fleeting memories and mysteries of generations gone before.
We want to know what kind of people our ancestors were, their names, how and where and when they lived. What led to the unimaginable decision to leave behind all that they held dear and embark on long dangerous journeys to strange lands they knew nothing of, often with little more than the clothes they stood up in
Ulster Ancestry undertake detailed ancestral research and family history research here in the Province of Ulster primarily in the Counties of Antrim, Armagh, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Down, Londonderry/Derry and Donegal.

Using the unique archives at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland with it's numerous family pedigrees, family notes, wills, land records, deeds, leases, and most importantly both Catholic and Protestant Parish Church records of birth and marriage we endeavour to put our clients in touch once again with their early family here in Ireland.
If you prefer to conduct your own family research you can save a considerable amount of time and greatly increase your chances of success by requesting a "Primary Report".
In this Primary Report we will look for evidence of your family in the most important 19th century Irish genealogical resources , The Tithe Applotment Books (1824-1853) and Griffith’s Valuation of Ireland (1848-1864). We will tell you where and when your ancestors name is recorded in these records. We will also provide you with detailed information on available Church records for your ancestors Parish including what is available and what years are covered. (This
report is available for all the Ulster Counties)

To learn more, please come into the Ulster Ancestry site, and take a look around. You can search the free pages of old Irish genealogical records or leave a message on our ancestry forum to assist in your own ancestral research, even send a free post card from Ireland.

At the Research Services page you can request a Free Assessment of the family information you already have. We will advise you as to what for you is the best way forward for your ancestral research. You will be under no obligation and there is no charge for this service. We invite you to take with us, the first step back down the road today.
