What is it about ?
Did you know that a barbula is a small tuff of hair just below the
lower lip, or that there is a word for someone who is afraid of
sitting ; it's called cathisophobia. A cagamosis is an unhappy
marriage and if you need a silent piano for practicing, you have to go
and buy a digitorium. There is a word for stony material found in
ruminants' stomachs and if you suffer from drapetomania, you have the
intense desire to run away from home. There are plenty of uncommon
words. Here is another one : orthopterology is the study of
cockroaches.
I reasearched 1000 of such uncommon words, so I thought about making
up a game about it.
The ideal number of players would be 4 - 8. All you need to start
playing this game is a file with words that are unknown to the
players, like namby-pamby or yabbi, or flibbertigibbet, or hullabaloo.
The best way to play the game is to use a laptop with a PowerPoint
Presentation containing the 1000 words and their definitions. But you
may also play the game using playing cards. So let's go and have a
look at the playing rules.
