Who am I to say this?

So, I intentionally chose to stop exercising and eat whatever i wanted.  It was to be a controlled and and carefully conducted experiment…

The Experiment that Consumed Me!




So, over just a month – which felt like the blink of an eye – I put on twenty pounds of fat.  It was shockingly easy – far easier than I thought it would be.  Life itself helped.  I did what my clients did.  I traveled, spoke in front of audiences, attend business meetings, and enjoyed life’s little joys. I  stopped exercising and ate what I wanted (in honesty, I ate whatever was convenient, which, typically, was fast food).  …and, WOW did I ever start to crave sugar!

This experiment was supposed to be structured!  To my dismay, it got out of hand and out of control.  It consumed me…

My 20 pounds of fat somehow quickly turned into 30, 30 became into 40, and 40 mysteriously turned into 50 pounds of fat!

I didn’t realize how far I had fallen into this trap and was even rationalizing excessive eating.

I started comfort eating too.  Geese, carbohydrates can be a your best friend (or ice cream).

I had no idea, no idea at all how slippery this slope could be.

It almost feels like a dream. One day I was in shape, and the next, I couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs.  Now, my body aches all the time.  I have trouble concentrating.  I’ve been battling depression.  I get anxious easier.  I feel restless all the time.  No matter how much I sleep, I’m always tired.  I CRAVE fast foods and junk food.

My back ALWAYS hurts now!  I’m constantly winded. I’ve become so embarrassed; I avoid pools and the beach!  The real kicker? My clothes don’t fit.  Everything is so tight!

I think the greatest embarrassment is that the fat makes it more difficult for me to tie my shoes.  If I have to get out of a chair, I need to create momentum.

I feel ashamed when I look in a mirror.

Ugh…  The list goes on…  Can you relate to any of my pain?

I mean, how do es this happen!?  It’s SO easy getting out of shape!

I had no idea; HONESTLY, most fitness professionals have no clue!  They tell clients what to do and get upset when they cannot do what is asked.

Most fitness experts, teachers and writers have not experienced what it’s like to fall out of shape and gain these unsightly pounds.

They aren’t embarrassed to take their shirts off or put on a swimsuit.

They don’t grasp how hard it can be for us to get motivated.

I thought I had more insight and understanding than my colleagues, I am now beyond humbled and shocked to realize that I had NO IDEA WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE ON THIS SIDE OF THE LINE.

So, unlike typical fitness trainers, right now I have…

28% body fat!
I weigh 237 pounds!  (that’s 66 pounds of fat!)
My BMI is 31.3 = I’m technically Obese.



So, here I am.  I “Got Fat.”


Defeated by food.  Fat and weak.  In pain, restless, and embarrassed.


Truly humbled, but now…

I didn’t before, not even a little.

You’ve probably noticed, I’m not like most of these fitness professionals.

I’ve climbed into the rabbit hole because I want to guide you out. I’m here to tell you that if you are experiencing anything I just mentioned, it is NOT RIGHT.  It is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY.  Being a disciplined athlete my whole life, I have never been on “this” side of the line.  Now that I’m here, I can tell you, truly, I understand your frustration.

Much more importantly, I have GOOD NEWS!  We can get you to the other side of the line. Maybe you need to lose 200 pounds, maybe you just want to tone up a bit, perhaps you could care less about weight and simply want to have more energy. No matter where you are right now, I intend to give you the keys to the kingdom.

I will be your guide. I’m going to workout right beside you.  I will teach you everything you need to know.  I’m going to save you the money you would have to spend on a nutritionist, a personal trainer, a coach, and a gym.  I will take care of everything, and TOGETHER, we’re going to overcome this challenge!


I will elaborate more on how we can work together, what to expect, and what you will gain from it.  For now, I would like to share an insight that I’ve recently had, an insight that might pertain to you…




Here is the reason I say the struggle against weight loss is NOT your fault…

You have been betrayed. Unless you where one of the few lucky ones who chose to go into athletics when you where younger and took the time to learn about your body though exercising and proper nutrition, where else was the information offered to you?  You were never taught these things, yet you are expected to know them.  You can’t just wake up one day and start speaking Latin, can you?
Society failed to teach you even the most basic principles of wellness and fitness. Without any kind of foundation, how can you know what you should do?  How could you know if you’re doing exercises correctly?  How could you figure out what machines in the gym will benefit you?  How can you know if a diet will work?  You’re left to wonder: how do fitness, weight loss and wellness programs REALLY work? Then you’re surrounded with fast food, restaurants, and all of these “colorful” foods at the grocery store. You’re told to eat and enjoy them!  These foods become familiar, friendly, and comforting.  Food doesn’t judge you, it doesn’t ask questions, and it’s always there, ready to make you “feel” better.  If you had a long and stressful day, why not have a little more ice cream?
Meanwhile, most jobs ask you to sit all day long. After being locked in an office all day, what’s the highlight?  Lunch. Everyone breaks free from the 9-5 routine for just a little while.  For just a little while, they can enjoy themselves and not deal with work.  Many eat large lunches and then sit right back down for several more hours.  Honestly, how can people not be overweight? Then, every skinny model you see quietly hints that you should look like them. You spend a part of your morning trying to look good and build up your confidence.  As soon as you leave, turn on the television, or pick up a magazine, there are hundreds of images happily reminding you that you could lose a few more pounds.  How could that not be frustrating? Now, thousands upon thousands of supplements, diets, and exercise programs promise you that THEY have the cure. Yet, one by one, they fail you in some way shape or form.  They always seem to have such potential at first.  As time goes on, this potential is lost.  Back to square one, again, and again, and again.  What do you do? So, we FORCE ourselves on a diet, or into a gym, or to pay for a personal trainer, or to eat some disgusting supplement. Sure, you might lose some weight, but does it stay off?  Nope.  So, you wasted money, time, energy and emotion only to end up back at square one, again…  Are you tired of this yet?
If the answer is yes, then I have a solution for you, but first,
let me tell Seven Truths of Fitness…












#1 • Weight Loss is Psychological, NOT Physical.

This is the reason 99.9% of all New Year Resolutions have and always will fail. Do you enjoy it when people force you to do something?  Do you like being bossed around?  Of course not.  So, how could FORCING yourself to do something you despise ever help you?  If you hate they gym, will you continue to go?  If you hate diets, will you stay on them?

Of course not!

The most ancient fundamentals of being human is that we don’t like pain, but we do like pleasure. So, let’s say food gives you pleasure, but you’ve gained a few pounds so you’re going to FORCE yourself on a diet.  So, instead of a nice yummy dinner you can look forward to, you have to eat some awful concoction.  Your emotions are going to surge out of control.

Not only are you going to lose the pleasure food gave you, but it’s going to be replaced with pain.  What happens when you drop an ice cube in boiling water?  Do they mix well?  No.   So, if you try to force yourself to do the opposite of what you really desire, how can it possibly work out?  Sure, you can FORCE yourself to do anything, but for how long?

I could write and talk about this subject for days.  The mind-body relationship is very VERY powerful, but only IF you understand it.  You can make yourself calm whenever you wish.  You can silence anxiety.  You can improve your focus.  You can overcome any challenge.  There is so much more to explain, I will elaborate on the topic a great deal more throughout the course of this membership.

One last note: There are those who will contribute to your success, and there are those that will try to make you fail.  Be very aware of those who are around you.  Some people might not want you to change.

I will teach you tricks to outsmart your body and keep your mind clear and focused.  We will SUCCEED!

#2 • Cookie Cutter does NOT work!

Can you fit a square peg in a round hole?  Nope!  How many different books, supplements, professionals etc insist that THEIR WAY is best?  Almost all of them, right?  I hate to burst this bubble, but there is no perfect way to exercise.  There is no perfect diet.  There is no all-knowing professional.  Don’t get drawn in!

Are you just like everyone else?  No way!

You are VERY unique. Sure, you have some things in common with others, but no one on this earth is just like you; not now, not before, not ever.  You, my friend, are one of a kind.  So, why on earth would someone tell you that their way of doing things is best for you?  How could they possibly know?  They can’t.

Every mind is different just as every body is different. Just as you formed a personality, you body has a personality too.  It has a certain way of moving, it enjoys certain foods, it needs certain things.  There will never be a one-size fits all magical solution to fitness or weight loss.  If you keep looking for one, you’ll continue to be disappointed.

I will provide you with a map, tools and paths to succeed in YOUR own way, as fast or as slow as you would like.  I’ll show you what works and teach you the foundation.

#3 • Food can be more important than exercise.

No amount of exercise will help you if you’re eating foods super saturated with calories. Most people don’t realize that the foods they are eating can actually turn OFF their fat burning systems!  There are so-called “healthy foods” that are actually unhealthy for you.  Some drinks contain more calories than a 1/2 gallon of ice cream!

Be very aware of the foods you are eating. Understand how they affect you, both mind and body.  Some foods will make you lethargic, other foods will make you feel anxious, yet other foods can speed up fat burning and give you an abundance of energy.

The reason DIETS MAKE YOU FAT is because they tell your body slow down. By restricting your calories, you make your body think you are starving, so, you burn LESS calories and store more fat.  Then there are the diets that tell you to eat more of this and less of that, they swap calories and frustrate your body.  The ultimate “diet” is balanced, tasty, and simple.

The old saying, “You are what you eat,” is very true.  I’ll help you to understand what foods to look for and which ones to avoid.  We will simplify and solve this mystery.

#4 • Most supplements will just waste your money!

Most of us want a quick answer. We don’t like having to work or wait for results.  For this reason, there is an endless army of supplement providers out there prepared to tell you whatever you want to hear so that they can take happily take your money.  Most supplements will have no affect on you, others can harm you, if it’s too good to be true, guess what? It most probably is.

There are good supplements out there, for instance, Oolong Tea.  This supplement has been used for thousands of years to help people improve weight loss results.  Think of it as a delicious way to encourage your body to want to safely burn more fat.  It can also help delay carbohydrate absorption.

Again, there are good supplements out there, but there are even more supplements that will do nothing for you.  Don’t fall into the trap.  Anything that promises you will lose 10 pounds before the end of the week is toxic and is most likely only causing you to lose water weight.  NOTE: Water weight is NOT fat, it doesn’t count.

We’ll have a discussion about which supplements really work.

#5 • Beware Of False Experts.

They are many in number.  With so many people struggling with weight loss, there is no short supply of would-be experts and false prophets.  They will promise you the stars and the moon.  They will swear that you will magically loose all of your weight in the blink of an eye.  They will offer you their “patented plans” their “mysterious methodology” as they bombard you with reasons they are the only solution to your problems.

PLEASE be wary of them. Not only will they hand you one more emotionally exhausting failure, but they can do serious harm to you.  Be very cautious if you look for a personal trainer.  There are many excellent trainers out there, and they can help you, but they are surrounded by a see of countless salesmen who spent $19 to buy an online certification.  These unskilled manipulators know that you’re uncertain and in need of guidance, they will try to use that against you.

I’ve been in the industry for over a decade and I’ve seen some horrible things.  There are cases where I do believe that these unskilled trainers mean well, but this is your body we’re talking about, there’s no room for mistakes!  As we work together, I will show you everything you need to do.  You’ll have 90% better results than you would with a personal trainer!

#6 • You can teach your body to WANT to burn fat!

Your body is a machine that is constantly learning.  It adapts all of the time.  You can teach your body to burn a lot more fat, if you know how.  There are ways to outsmart your body too.  You see, your body is concerned with only one thing, your survival.  It will do everything it needs to to make sure you continue to survive.  This includes fattening you up.

Luckily, we can train your metabolism! Oh, if you’re one of the vast majority of people out there that skips breakfast, I realize that you might expect to lose more weight doing this. Logically, less calories should = weight loss, right?

Wrong.

What really happens is you slow your metabolism and tell your body to convert everything you eat into fat.  Not to mention this also tells your body to eat away your muscles (because, muscles cost a lot of calories).

One of the best ways to get fat, fast, is to skip breakfast.

Your body wants to protect you, but, if you were to show your body that there’s nothing to fear, it will have no problem burning more fat.  If we can remove stress, your body will burn more fat.  If you can move negative thoughts into positive thoughts, you will burn more fat.  There are techniques that trick your body into thinking it needs to burn extra fat.  If we make your body think it’s an athlete, you will burn a LOT of fat.

It’s simple, if you know what to do.  You can actually burn fat all day long if you want to, and without even going to the gym!  Don’t worry, I’ll teach you each one of these techniques and we will practice them!

Question #1 • How is this program different from others?

In short, this program will cover psychology, foods and fitness…mind, body, and nutrition.  It will be the most complete program you have ever participated in.


Unlike other programs, I will not force you to do anything.  Instead, I’m going to show you how I will get MYSELF back into shape.  I’m going to teach you everything you need to know. Basically, I’m giving you a map.  There are many paths to your goals, I intend to help you find the path that best suits you and your personality.

This program is neither a diet a workout regiment.  Instead, it is a complete life chang e process where you will learn how to use powerful psychology to strengthen your ability to achieve goals.  I will simplify complicated matters and help you to understand VERY powerful principles of succes s.

When we work with the body, I will TEACH you how do perform the various exercises.  Most programs show you a picture tell you, “do this.”  Well, HOW?  Step-by-step I’m going to teach you how exercise works and show you the correct way to do everything.  We’re going to train intelligently also, meaning, you will burn more calories, faster, and have better results.

Question #2 • How fast will I see results?

This is entirely up to you.  While I will be training myself at a fairly focused pace, you will have the option to move at your speed.  You can achieve results RAPIDLY or you can enjoy the process at your own pace.  You are in control.

I will coach you and help you to set and keep goals, but I am not going to force you to do things you don’t want to do.  If you hate the gym, don’t go.  If you dislike an exercise I teach you, don’t do it.  If you disagree with a food suggestion I offer, dismiss it.  I will show you what works, but I will ultimately leave all decisions up to you.

Question #3 • Do I have to go on a diet?


No, you do not have to go on a diet.  I personally think diets are NOT beneficial and they can be depressing too.  I just don’t see the point.


That said, I will show you how to make wise food choices, tasty, but wise.  The amount of food you eat is up to you.  If you want rapid results, you will need to have discipline when eating.  If you don’t care about weight loss and just want to feel better, then it’s a different story.

We’re going to look at food a bit differently, and I’ll show you all the tricks.

No starvation, no worries.

Question #4 • Can I really get good results by exercising at home?


Absolutely, your body doesn’t know if you are at home or at the gym.

I’ll show you how to utilize basic equipment and how to train smart.  Everything we do will have improved results, because we’re going to train smart.  I don’t have any free time to waste, and I’m assuming you don’t either.  So, we’re going to choose be smart and go for quality over quantity.

All you need is a living room and some basic resistance.  If you have a few dumbbells or elastic bands, great!  If you have a doorway pull up bars, super!


Question #5 • Shouldn’t I be using machines?

Recent Black Hat Fat Loss Case Study:

This client was the typical “man’s man” kind of guy. He had the bald head, was 6′ tall, tattoos, and his favorite sport to watch is cage fighting.
