Learning how to make soap can be an investment--involving both your time and money. With my comprehensive, straight-to-the-point, detailed ebook, you can make soap today. I am a [professional soapmaker](http://sustainablesoaps.com/Company_Philosophy.html) myself, as well as a [professional freelance writer](http://www.staci-marquez-nichols.com/). Save yourself the hassle of Internet research, a trip to the library or bookstore (which probably won't give you what you need anyway), or ordering a cumbersome how-to book, waiting, and paying for shipping. Everything you need--minus the fluff--is here in one place.

Plus, my 49-page ebook includes 35 live hyperlinks to soap supply and resource websites, 39 [beginner soap recipes](Soap_Recipes.html#Ebook_Recipes), 67 [detailed pictures](Soapmaking_Pictures.html), and 3 charts. One of the charts gives the properties of 40 different soap ingredients--this data was compiled from 7 different sources. I have included: a cost-benefit analysis of making your own soap, a measurement conversion chart, and a "to do," step-by-step checklist.

The problem with most soapmaking instructional manuals is:

They do not tell you where to buy the equipment and supplies you need to get started (or how much these things will cost). They do not give complete information. For example, in Alicia Grosso's The Everything Soapmaking Book, she writes: "When you're working with cold-process soap, there are a number of colorants that will fade, change, or disappear altogether due to their reaction to active lye" (p. 88). Yet, Ms. Grosso doesn't bother to tell us what those colorants are!  They skip around without giving you what you need--a simple, cut and dried, step-by-step "to do list." The information is too spread out. When it comes to starting a new hobby like soapmaking, you want clear, concise, brief instructions--not an encyclopedia. In fact, one of my competitors specifically refers to her eBook Soap Making Success as a "brain dump." Filler and fluff makes up a great deal of the text, such as a history of soapmaking and a discussion of noteworthy soapmakers. They rarely provide more than 2-3 pictures of the process and, typically, no pictures of the equipment and supplies, unmolding, cutting, and other steps. Don't expect your local craft store to be much more helpful. For example, Michael's only carries soap "recasting" supplies, i.e. melt and pour soap. Recasting store-bought soap is a far cry from making homemade soap. Not only do craft stores not carry your most crucial ingredient, lye, but you'll be hard-pressed to find a staff member who can answer any of your questions.

Comparison Chart with Other Soap Making Instruction Manuals

I'm so confident in my eBook, that I have provided you with a comparison chart of my competitor's outrageously over-priced eBooks.

Some of the high-pressure sales tactics used by my competitors:
"The truth is there is a lot of bad information on soapmaking out there." (Simple Soap Making) "Every minute you wait is another minute you're not making soap; click here to start..." (Soap Making Made Simple) "Just take a look at all the people who fail miserably..." (Simple Soap Making) "You must order right away." (Soap Making Made Simple) Interestingly, my competitors' soapmaking eBooks include the "exposed secrets" of soapmaking and are "on sale" to create a false sense of urgency:
Soap Making Success has been "marked down" from $100. Soap Making for Profit is $10 off.
Apparently, Simple Soap Making was originally priced at $275. For a "limited time only," Soap Making Entrepreneur is also $10 off. Soap Making Made Simple's "special introductory price" includes a $20 discount.
