Hi Tony, a little background on me - I've been a joiner by trade for
many years but I'm retired now. I saw this as an interesting project
that I could do with my grandsons as well as teach them a few things
about living greener and being self-reliant - something that schools
don't teach these days..
Anyway, after downloading your guides I printed them out and studied
them. To me the solar power plans are straight forward and I was even
supirsed at the cost between a 'professional install' and the 'DIY
install'. The materials can be sourced for next to nothing and
assuming you've got the brass to do it, you will have your first
system up and running in no time!
I find that the panels work best at an angle of 30-60 degrees and
give out the most power or 'Solar PV' as they call it during 11:00am
to 3:00pm when the sun is at it's strongest.
My grandsons can actually see 'electricity' in action. It's just one
more thing they can start to appreciate in the world :)
