What exactly is a freight broker? Freight brokers arrange for the transportation of freight from point A to point B. A freight broker, also known as a "property broker" is basically the middle man between the motor carrier (trucking company) and the customer needing the freight moved.
Why become a freight broker?
Though it surprises many people, the transportation industry can be quite lucrative for new brokers, even with little to no prior experience in the industry. This is because freight brokers are not "paid" a percentage of the freight charges - but rather they "keep" a portion of the freight charges (big difference).

Everything you use or consume throughout your day has likely been on a truck at one point. Freight is everywhere and the demand for transportation will only increase with time. You simply need to know how and where to look to find it. No, it's not rocket science, but there is a method to it.
