I'm going to show you how to build your own coop in one evening (it
took my neighbor's daughter 3 days, and she's not the quickest tool in
the shed).
Each month I also build a free chicken coop for one visitor just in
case you're a complete couch potato :)
I really just do it because I've found and created the easiest,
most affordable chicken coop plans and I don't want to see your
chickens die from dangerous predators.

"That's a lot of chicks," commented the proprietor. "I mean

A week later the guy was back again. "I need another 100 chicks," he
said. "Boy, you are serious about this chicken farming," the man told
him.
"Yeah," the yuppie replied, "if I can iron out a few problems."
"Problems?" asked the proprietor. "Yeah," replied the yuppie, "I think
I planted that last batch too close together."
NO NEED FOR BUILDERS - BUILD YOUR OWN
Sadly you can't just run to the store, pick up some plywood and
chicken wire and start hammering them all together. -- But this
doesn't mean that you should go out and spend lots of money buying
pre-built chicken coops.
In fact, a lot of the time you're left hanging and have to build the
chicken coop by yourself anyway, all you really did was just pay
hundreds of dollars to the store for nothing!
BUILDING YOUR OWN CHICKEN COOP IS SIMPLE ONCE YOU LEARN A FEW
BASICS:
MATERIAL - What type of material will you use? Will it protect
your chickens from dangerous predators and be able to stand up
to the weather conditions of your location?
LIGHTING - Will you have lighting? Do you really need lighting in
your coop?
POSITIONING AND ACCESS - Do you know how to properly position
your chicken coop and the best location to build your coop? Where
will the door(s) be? How will chickens have access inside? Is it
going
to be safe from predators attacking and killing your chickens?
VENTILATION - How will you provide ventilation that does not
effect safety from predators?
INSULATION - How will you insulate the chicken coop? It's
definitely not the best to just slap some wood together and throw
your chickens inside and hope they'll be fine!
