Could It Really Be This Easy
To Find Work In The Superyacht Industry
In Record Time, While You Travel To The Worlds
Most Luxurious And Exotic Locations…
AND Meet Multi-Millionaires And Celebrities?

The Answer is "YES"... And If YOU Want To Eliminate The Possibility Of Not Finding Work In The Superyacht Industry In The Shortest Time Possible While Avoiding The Common Mistakes That Many Others With Little Or No Experience Make… Then This Will Be The Most Important Letter You'll Ever Read.

Dear Friend,

I have some important questions for you. Think carefully as you answer...
Have you heard about the superyacht industry and all its benefits and now YOU want a piece of the action?

Are you looking for work as a deckhand but finding the process incredibly hard and frustrating?

Do you have an outstanding student loan or credit card debt and looking for a way to pay off your creditors as quickly as possible?

Are you sick and tired of being told day after day, week after week that there are no permanent deckhands jobs available for you?

Are you confused about what qualifications you really need in order to find a job as a deckhand on today's superyachts?

Are you thinking about working in the superyacht industry as a career but not sure if it's really for you OR that you may make the mistake of choosing the wrong career?

Are you concerned about the current global economic crisis and how it could affect your job search in the superyacht industry?

If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then I have some important news for you...

The news is that you are NOT alone.

In fact, that list of questions was created from emails I've received from hundreds of others just like you who are looking to find work in the superyacht industry.

It's a fact: Finding work in the superyacht industry can be a long a hard process if you don't know what you're doing.

Nearly all inexperienced deckhands looking for work on today's superyachts have had the experience of finding work as a deckhand to be tough, long and challenging.

But is that the REAL truth?

Is the superyacht industry REALLY that hard to crack when you first start out?

Is there any hope?

Why Inexperienced Superyacht Crew
Struggle To Find Work...

When you are not successful at something its not a fun feeling...

But an even worse feeling than that is NOT KNOWING WHY.

I know this very well because I've had that feeling when I first started out in the superyacht industry as a deckhand...

So I started to search for information that could possibly put an end to ALL my frustration.

BUT, I could find very little information if anything at all about how to find work in the superyacht industry.

There were a few books but much of the content was outdated or focused on other crew positions in the industry.

There was nothing that focused solely on deckhands and that provided tips, strategies, methods and real world insider knowledge that could be used to make the process of finding work in the industry so much easier AND then showed you how to master the job once you landed your first position.

The Secret Reasons Why Most
Deckhands Fail At The Superyacht Industry...

See, most 'green' (new) deckhands actually fail to master the superyacht industry for one of two reasons.

Firstly, they simply didn’t have the skills, certificates and insider knowledge that would enable them to perform the job to a level that is required of them and secondly, because they didn't REALLY know what they were getting themselves into before they joined the superyacht industry in the first place!

I'll admit it. I know all about that experience, as I was THAT deckhand.

But I'll let you in on another little secret…it does NOT have to be that way.

As an 'industry outsider' I learnt that the toughest part of the superyacht industry is actually finding work in the first place and NOT necessarily dealing with the personal aspects of crew life onboard.

If you can find a job AND do that job very well then in all probability you could go on to be an amazing success within the superyacht industry.

But what you MIGHT not understand is that finding work in the superyacht industry boils down to variables and in order to get what YOU want you have to understand what these variables are and how they influence your situation.

I've discovered that at the end of the day it's the little things that determine who gets the job and who doesn't.

The Five Most Common Mistakes
Inexperienced Crew Make When It Comes To
Finding Work In The Superyacht Industry...

Crew recruitment agencies and potential employers will always be trying to figure out if your profile fits into a Hollywood type market like the superyacht industry.

First impressions count and experience has shown that you only have one chance to get it right.

1. How To Create A Killer Perception Of Your Personal Profile In The Superyacht Industry

As much as I hate to stress it - the industry is looking for a certain image when hiring crew.

What ever you do, NEVER make the mistake of looking unprofessional or like you're totally new to the industry.

Basic things like your appearance will go a long way to set you apart from the thong-wearing hippie that bounced in off the street and is just looking to make a quick buck.

Some guys have actually arrive at the back of my yacht with skateboards in hand, wearing three-quarter pants, a tank top (vest), slops (sandals) and sporting a generally scruffy appearance - then comes the question, "Hey dude, do you, like, have any daywork, man?"

This will ALWAYS get you a negative response.

You must understand that this industry is very professional by nature.

Simply wearing a neatly pressed polo shirt, smart navy or khaki shorts and appropriate shoes will go a long way to helping you succeed.

It's all about perception and ultimately YOU are responsible for ensuring that it's as 'picture perfect' as possible.

2. Making The Mistake Of Thinking You Know It All Already

The one aspect of being a deckhand in the superyacht industry is that you NEVER stop learning.

Yet, I've met many inexperienced guys who parade themselves on deck thinking they have ALL the skills and knowledge they need to be a superyacht deckhand.

But this attitude will almost CERTAINTLY come back to haunt you.

Here is a secret that many industry outsiders will not be aware of until it's too late...

An increasing number of Captains these days are giving ropes to candidates in job interviews and asking them to tie certain knots to see if they can back up this attitude with solid 'know how'...

Trust me on this one - you DO NOT want to come across as totally inexperienced in an interview when you first start out in the industry.

With so many prospective deckhands looking for work these days YOU cannot afford to miss out on any job opportunities.

Knowing how to perform general tasks on a boat will let an interviewer know that you are NOT out of your depth.

But perhaps most importantly of all, it demonstrates that you have the right attitude and a genuine interest in learning what it takes to make it in this industry.

3. Under Estimating The Importance Of An Agency Interview

Crew recruitments agencies play a big part in deciding whether you make it to a job interview or not.

When competing for the headspace of an agent with up to several hundred other potential deckhands, you have to realize that everything you do when you step into the office is noteworthy.

How you look, project yourself and the manner in which you deal with them will make or break your chances finding you work.

ALWAYS be conscious of the image you are portraying.

Here's another secret than you MIGHT not know about...

All agencies keep a personal record of you on their system. If you are rude, have a scruffy appearance or simply "don't have the right attitude" - this will all be noted in your profile.

Agencies then use this as a reference to decide whether YOU or another deckhand should be put forward for a position.

4. The Things That DESTROY Your Credibility In The Superyacht Industry… AND How To Avoid Them

The eyes and ears of the yachting industry are everywhere.

This can be utilized to work for you or be a factor in your downfall.

The first step is being conscious of the fact that what you do in the pub OR an agency has an effect on what others within the industry will think of you.

News in the superyacht industry travels INCREDIBLY quickly.

Keep this in mind when you are about to tuck into your fourth beer of the hour while out in a place where potential employers also come to socialize.

'Yachtie bars' are a classic environment where new deckhands and even experienced ones can lose their credibility in an instant.

Remember to be aware of who is around you at all times - you REALLY want to avoid saying the wrong thing at the wrong time in the vicinity of someone who could ultimately decide on whether you’re the right person for the job.

It's been known to happen and frequently does.

5. Working With A CV / Resume That Leaves Agencies And Captains Thinking You're Going To Have NO CHANCE At Finding Work

I can tell you first hand that Captains and 1st Officers/Mates responsible for employing deckhands see hundreds of CVs a year.

For this reason, Captains are quick to bin any CV that they do not like the look of.

The most common reasons for this are things like, how long you held your last position, incorrect formatting and or missing information, an unclear or inappropriate photo, insufficient references, etc.

AND they could even bin your CV simply because they don't like the look of it.

At the end of the day, it is your responsibility to create a competitive advantage, and ultimately the place where you can leverage this most is by creating a killer CV that will crush the competition.

Pay specific attention to DETAIL. Here are some simple ways for you to do just this...

Little Known Ways To Crush
The Competition With A Killer CV / Resume

1. The Correct Photo To Use On Your CV And What To Avoid

In your photo, you should be wearing a plain polo shirt or something smart in front of some yachts or a plain background.

Avoid pictures of you at the beach, on a night out and especially drinking.

2. How To Use Appropriate Formatting And Layout

Your CV should be all lined up, in the same font (justified) with your photo either in the top right hand corner or the centre.

Whatever you do, make sure it looks PROFESSIONAL.

Do not make it too long either, keep it to two pages at the most.

Also ensure that it as clear as possible and put it in chronological order with your last employment position listed first.

Most people (especially Captains) don't have time to read the whole CV, so if it is clear and they can scan it quickly this will improve your chances a great deal.

If you have a season's worth of experience in the superyacht industry, or if you have been working as a day worker, then this information should be listed in a separate section of your CV as maritime experience, with a separate section for land-based experience.

3. Plug The Gaps With ACCURATE Information

Leaving out recreational/personal sailing experience, dayworking or the fact that you get seasick can be to your disadvantage.

All experience is good experience and mentioning that you do not suffer from seasickness can go some way to proving that you have your sea legs.

Daywork is particularly important as it shows you are being PROACTIVE and getting out there rather than waiting for a job to come to you.

4. The Art Of Being SPECIFIC But Not Boring

Make sure you explain what your previous employment included.

ALWAYS mention your job title, exact dates (so many people are vague about this, particularly with daywork; they put just the month, presumably to make it appear longer, but one day is very different from one month), location of the job (which country and where in the country), and all the main duties that you carried out.

There is no need for this to be lengthy; duties can be bullet pointed.

5. The Correct Way To Use References

You must provide a minimum of two references, ideally from yachts or previous employments.

If you have been self-employed or don't have any references, then it is VITAL you get a character reference from a family friend, etc.

DO NOT put your boyfriend/girlfriend or your immediate family, as they will obviously be biased.

What I Present To YOU Now
Is The Definitive Guide For Finding
Work In The Superyacht Industry As A
Deckhand, In Super Rapid Time... AND From
Just A Few Top Secret Techniques That
The 'Other Deckies' Simply Don't Know About...

When I started in the superyacht industry, I started [blogging](http://www.mattbrownblog.com/) about my experiences and soon began receiving emails from prospective deckhands on a monthly, then weekly and now daily basis about how best to find work as a deckhand in the superyacht industry

It wasn't long before I came to realize that many prospective deckhands are confused about how to actually do this, how to acquire the appropriate training certificates, where to start their job search, and many other issues that surround the superyacht industry, but the underlying tone of all the emails I received was really about how to be successful at a superyacht crew career.

So I began on a journey that revealed many aspects of the superyacht industry that even I didn't know about it... AND I was already working as a deckhand on one of the worlds leading superyachts.

Through months of research, countless conversations with many other deckhands, officers, Captains and other industry insiders... BUT most importantly, through my OWN experience - I've discovered exactly what the variables are that determine who is successful in the superyacht industry and how to use them to beat the rest of the competition.

And now... I want to share my discoveries with YOU.

I've just put the finishing touches on a brand new product designed to empower you to begin your career in the superyacht industry and that will arm you with the essential and most powerful information available at your fingertips whenever you need it.

My new program is called, "The Dynamic Deckhand".

It is also known as the 'big brothers guide to the superyacht industry' for one simple reason—it literally takes you by the hand and guides you through each critical step in the process of finding work in the superyacht industry but not only this, it also shows you how to MASTER the job before you've even had an interview with a prospective employer!

In my eBook, you're going to learn some of the secrets and strategies I've used to beat the rest of the competition at dockwalking, dealing with crew agencies, job interviews, passing maritime training exams and much, much more.

We're going to focus on the critical skills required to find work in the superyacht industry AND set the foundation for a successful superyacht career from the very start...

One of the reasons I created this program was because I wanted to give you insights and be honest about the things that some industry insiders do not want you to know.

We're going to spend some critical time together learning how you can go from being totally inexperienced to holding your own superyacht Captains license in under six months.

I know HOW to do this because that is exactly what I achieved.

You're going to learn at LEAST 30 different ways to quickly and easily beat the 'other guys' in the market place as well as the specifics surrounding training certificates and experience you must hold to be promoted up the various ranks within the superyacht deck career path.

I'm also going to show you how to avoid looking like you're totally new to the industry (even though you might be) and how you can create the perception in whatever superyacht you’re working on that you’re a seasoned professional and vitally important to the success of any superyacht and their crew.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg...

But Don't Take My Word For It...

When I first had the idea of taking a career break and started looking into the super yacht industry, I was bombarded with information across the internet. Every Google search I did resulted in thousands of sites claiming to have the inside track, the training or the recruitment connections to make it in the super yacht industry. Yet I still had many basic, unanswered questions. Were any of these sites reputable? How much training would I need? What are the down sides? How do I get started? Where do I go? What time of year?

I happened to stumble upon Matt’s blog and immediately noticed that here was a guy who was very upfront about what he did, proud of what he did and more importantly had been there and pretty much done that. The news that Matt was writing a guide to becoming and succeeding as a deckhand was music to my ears. Having read the book I can say that it is the perfect guide for anyone looking to kick off a career in the super yacht industry. All of the basic questions I had asked myself, are collated in the book. Of particular help to me was:

1) Recommended training – amazing no other sites are this honest or go into this detail
2) Dockwalk techniques – unique info
3) Visa tips – cut through the crap
4) Resources – how to do it

All of a sudden here is the one resource you need to plan a successful (important word) career in the industry. So as I start my journey from one life to the next, I want to thank Matt for making the path much clearer and allowing a complete novice like me to set realistic career goals in a truly aspirational industry.

I can highly recommend reading this book and indeed keeping as a reference point. I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve referred to it just in the past 3 weeks, just to answer another question that had popped into my head. It’s going to be an exciting, difficult and ultimately rewarding journey and I can’t wait. Matt, thanks for your willingness to share knowledge and help others. I’ll hopefully bump into you in some port around the world.

Matt Brown's "Dynamic Deckhand" is by far and away THE definitive guide to becoming a deckhand in the superyacht industry.

So much more than just a how-to manual, this career guide offers a wealth of information -- expert and crew interviews, current resource listings, and even anecdotal stories packed with real "on-the-job" advice. Readers will walk away with a clear picture of exactly what to expect working as a superyacht deckhand (including how to get there!).

The "Dynamic Deckhand" doesn't just stop at how to obtain entry-level deckhand positions though. Matt goes on to coach readers on how to eventually climb the ladder to the higher-rank positions of Bosun and 1st Officer/1st Mate. Too, he outlines what it will take to obtain a Yachtmaster certification or Captain's license -- something Matt did in less than six months from the time he took his first position as an entry-level deckhand. (And he's obviously been very busy documenting every step of his journey, for he doesn't miss a beat in presenting us with a blueprint to follow.)

Overall, readers will enjoy Matt's down-to-earth writing style and his conversational tone. You can almost "hear" him as though he's sitting across from you at the pub mapping out your action plan. His detailed instructions are straightforward -- often clever and witty -- and he thoroughly addresses any questions a person entering the superyacht industry might have about the job they seek and what life is like aboard one of these "floating palaces."
Non-US readers will gain a lot from Matt's explanation of the B1/B2 Visa application process, which includes a first-hand summary of his own experience. Furthermore, his insider tips on how to obtain daywork by walking the docks (a.k.a dockwalking) will be enlightening even for industry pros.

I highly recommend Matt Brown's "Dynamic Deckhand" and encourage anyone looking to break into the luxury yachting industry as a deckhand to buy a copy today.

On the other hand if you're already working on a superyacht and savoring all the benefits the industry has to offer, partying in a different bar in a different country or island every weekend, earning $3000 or more tax free money and traveling the world all without any living expenses - then this book is probably not for you.

But if you're NOT that person then you need to get this product immediately otherwise you'll risk never finding work within the superyacht industry.

What Makes This Product Different

So How Much Does This All Cost?

I’m going to be up front with you. When I was deciding how much to charge for the Dymanic Deckhand, I wanted to make it really EXPENSIVE. It’s human nature to value something more when you pay a LOT for it. Have you ever bought something so CHEAP that you never bothered even using it? It might have been a really fantastic product that could help you, but because it was so CHEAP, you didn’t value it enough to give it a try.

So, I decided to price The Dynamic Deckhand at only $47. Not too HIGH to be unattainable and not to low to be left on the shelf to gather dust.

But then I remembered that the people who need The Dynamic Deckhand the most, are those who are looking to find work OR are still struggling to find work in the superyacht industry. So, after much deliberation, I chose to change the price to allow the masses to afford it, yet still make it expensive enough that you won’t want to leave it on your shelf to gather dust.

If you ORDER YOURS NOW, you can own your own copy of The Dynamic Deckhand for ONLY $47!

I know, I know… It’s ridiculously cheap. My mentors and colleagues keep telling me to make it more expensive, but for the time being, I’m going to keep it at $47 and trust that you will use it.

How much is finding work on superyachts and pursuing a successful superyacht crew career worth to you? $500? $1,000? $5,000?

Oh, and one last thing: this is the lowest price I am prepared to give my information away at, and there is a very good chance that the price will rise to $97 at any time soon - without warning.

Unless you are already working in the superyacht industry for at least three years, there is a very good chance you do not know these techniques - and you are going to get left behind very quickly, as more deckhands become aware of these underground methods.

Remember that the gap between the super successful deckhands and the broke ones is widening each and every day - the question is, which side do you want to be on? You must make a decision now, while this opportunity is still on the table. Because soon, it will be gone. Maybe forever...

Your Last Chance...

Ok, look—the choice is yours.

You could spend thousands of dollars on training courses and spend three months looking for a permanent position, only to be told day after day by, week after week, month after month by crew recruitment agencies and potential employers that there are no jobs available for you.

Do you really want to run the risk of leaving your job search empty handed?

See, I know this happens more and more as each superyacht season passes. Many guys and more and more girls today leave their job search disheartened and perhaps worst of all... DISILLUSIONED about an industry which really promises so much on so many levels.

Look, its a fact—do you want to wind up spending your last hard earned cash, to buy a one way plane ticket home, returning broke and perhaps thinking to yourself, "If only I was able to find that one permanent job on a superyacht, then everything would be different"?

Well, I'm Here To Help YOU Avoid
That Situation Entirely...

Here's what I hope to help you achieve...

Now, just imagine the scene:

You wake up in the morning of your first day onboard one of the worlds most luxurious superyachts. You eat your breakfast prepared by a professional chef and step out on the deck.

You look around you at crystal clear water, and you pinch yourself because you realise you're in paradise as the sun beats down on your skin.

You jump into your superyachts tender worth a cool $200,000 and drive away on the mornings "reckie" as you scout out islands and beaches for your guests last day on the yacht.

You spend the entire day snorkeling, riding jet skis and wakeboarding with the guests. Finally, your guests leave that evening and they thank you for an unforgettable experience in paradise.

You head out that evening with your crew and eat in some of the finest restaurants and party till the early hours of the morning. You head back to your floating palace content and happy.

A week later you check your bank account and see that your account has risen by $8,000 in a single month.

You then realise you've received a $5,000 tip and your $3,000 salary (both tax free) in less than a month but the best part about all of this is that you get to do it all over again the following week.

This is a VERY REAL possibility if you apply the methods and strategies in this program. If you're still in doubt, checkout this video for a snap shot of a day in the life of a superyacht deckhand:

The "Dynamic Deckhand" is a great resource for those who wish to pursue a career as a deckhand in the yachting industry. Like in most industries, in today's market, competition can be fierce and the more you know, the more you can grow.

Even though the industry can be glamorous, it must also be remembered and understood that yachting is a profession that comes with high standards and qualifications. This includes not just keeping a boat looking good, but running well and even more importantly, safely.

I highly recommend this guide to anyone getting started aboard life on the water as a deckie in the world of yachting.

Shawn Hardman (Captain M/Y Happy Days)

Mathew Brown has, in a very concise and clear manner, broken down the steps to making a career in the competitive market of the worlds super yacht industry. He explains that given the right motives and mental attitudes a position as deckhand on board a multi million dollar boat is attainable. Furthermore he illustrates the necessary procedure to climbing the ladder of yachting hierarchy, and hence living a lifestyle a large portion of us only dream about!

His clear numbered points make learning what needs to be done in order to make the required impression with the right people easy; from crew agents to captains, from yacht brokers to the crew you work with. Matt undoes the knots that "green" deckhands have been battling to untie for years.

Real interviews from people working within the industry, including himself, give an insightful look into the world that has essentially become the playground for the rich and famous. Captains tell what they need to see in an inexperienced deckhand and Matt shares all on polishing out your problems on deck.

A step-by-step walk through of the skills and tickets needed to make it into the industry and how to continue to work your way up to captaining one of the most luxurious vessels on the globe.

I recommend this as an essential handbook for those both looking to find their way either into, or within, the yachting world. It is a valuable tool that I will certainly be using to my full advantage when going up against other deckhands also looking to make it on board a superyacht full time.
