Gain Hope and Proof that There’s
No Such Thing as Incurable

A Message of Hope to Anyone Diagnosed with
a Frightening Illness.

LEARN ABOUT TOTAL FOCUS HARNESSING HUMAN BODY AND HUMAN SPIRIT

TO MEET ANY CHALLENGE.

DEAR FRIEND:

IF you or someone you know, has the diagnosis of a frightening
“incurable” disease this could be what you’re searching for. If
giving up is not an option, read on. If you’re looking to find
answers where it seems there are none…there is help to rise above
your hopelessness. I’m about to share with you a story of
sufferings and successes that can teach you to handle your own
journey. Maybe even open up avenues where you think there are none.
Learning how to harness your own mind, body, and spirit to receive the
answers and solutions you need can be inspired by what I’m about to
show you

Hi, my name is Maureen,

Long ago in 1988 my journey began. In 1988 when I was diagnosed
with advanced systemic Scleroderma, there was little hope of a full
recovery, or even a short remission. There is no cure for this
disfiguring and deadly disease. My illness began with a swelling in my
hand and feet.

Next, I began having joint pain in my shoulders, hips, and knees
that got progressively worse. Then I lost the feeling in my head and
face. I lost my ability to eat because of the numbness in my head and
face. I had difficulty opening my mouth as well as swallowing. My
demise and disfigurement continued.

I wandered from physician to physician with seemingly no hope of
even knowing what was wrong with me. Finally, a bright and dedicated
rheumatologist gave me the diagnosis of scleroderma…and the
seemingly definitive diagnosis of no cure and a relatively short life
span. Yet I continued.

I began what would be months and months of searching, trials and
errors, and finally success. My goal is now to help others find their
own path to health and recovery.

Maureen

A TESTAMENT TO FACING LIFE HEAD-ON

Learning to identify and clarify the tools for your recovery can be
quite a journey. Go with me as I describe my journey. My journey of
finding the rewards of health and the invaluable blessings of peace
and relief.

As I said earlier, the diagnosis left me with little hope. There is
no cure for scleroderma and the outcome is typically early death. MY
results were quite different. Now I have no problems with Scleroderma
and my life is considered by most to be a medical miracle.

Armed with the personal experience of fear, anxiety, anger, and
little support I’m sharing my story in hopes of helping others with
the incurables. Once your diagnosis is scleroderma or another
incurable disease you have choices. You have the choice to accept the
diagnosis and wait for death…or you can take your own path and
hopefully, find remission or even your own cure.

Finding Possible Solutions Where
There Are None

Many times, people need to feel their own pain before they will take
action. I share with you now my journey of pain and of taking
action…not just the action prescribed by traditional
caregivers…but the actions of taking control and responsibility for
my plight. Little did I know at the time, but looking back, I came to
realize that without a strong combination of physical, mental, and
spiritual endearment and searching, I would not have survived.

Sharing my journey with you can awaken your will and determination
to search for your own successful path. The paths are many, but the
results are similar. Results of a renewed life and survival.

A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WITH SCLERODERMA OR ANYONE FACING AN
INCURABLE DISEASE

“_A Story of Courage and Perseverance, by S.T._

"I found out about Maureen through the Internet and then read her
book when it came out. I am always amazed with her knowledge of not
only scleroderma, but all the alternative approaches (as well as
conventional medicine) she used to assist her in her journey back to
health. I also personally liked the fact that she believed in both
conventional and alternative approaches for healing as this is
consistent with my own view. I am so grateful to her for sharing her
experience in A Place To Go. It is easy to see her compassion,
honesty, and perseverance- and I believe her attitude and
determination ultimately turned her health around.

I, too, was diagnosed with diffuse scleroderma and was told it was
progressing very rapidly. Western medicine could only offer me
powerful drugs, and, with the exception of my internist, none really
believed in the effectiveness of alternative treatments. I chose to
try the antibiotic therapy and follow a macrobiotic diet (June-July
2006) in addition to the conventional approach I was already taking. I
had been receiving acupuncture, hand and physical therapy and a
variety of energy modalities. Within a few weeks of following the
macrobiotic diet, I could see a difference in my energy level. Within
three months of taking antibiotics, my skin was softening some, the
redness and inflammation was decreasing, and I was moving around more
easily. It was at this time that I started to decrease conventional
medications. It's six months now and my skin is softening more, my
energy level is consistent throughout the day and I am finally
sleeping through the night most nights. My family and therapists are
continually commenting on the improvements. Coincidence (remission due
to drugs other than the antibiotics)? I don't think so. I never felt
like this on methotrexate (for RA), neurontin, oxycontin (for pain),
Ambien, and the small amount of prednisone that I took. These drugs
never relieved my severe pain, immobility, or helped me to sleep.

You don't need to have a serious physical illness to benefit from
reading A Place to Go. It is an inspiration to anyone going through a
grief process or living with/knowing someone who is. This book will be
on my recommended reading list for my clients when I get back to work.
Thanks to Maureen's own personal triumph-I can envision the day when I
will be doing all the things we so often take for granted each day."

\"A POWERFUL CATALYST....,

By

GARY MCCABE

Maureen Taylor has written a gripping ,intimate story of dogged
determination and discernment that can inspire anyone. Ultimately, a
triumph of spirit, Maureen's account explores the spiritual, cultural,
environmental, medical, emotional, dietary, and energetic realms of
disease creation and integrative recovery. Her intelligence, stunning
honesty, sheer grit, and intuition led to a uniquely personal path of
well-being. I found her willingness to explore, test and fine tune
while refusing to be limited by myopic regimens of both allopathic and
alternative systems, to be liberating. A powerful catalyst, this book
can change your life.”
