The biggest problem with losing weight around your middle is that it
is just so hard to shift! That extra padding can make buying clothes
more expensive give you the unsightly "muffin top" peaking over your
jeans and make a warm day into an uncomfortable embarrassment as you
hide the bulge under bigger clothes.
We were all born without a bulging waistline so what is the real
reason we have got one now? These are the real answers that school
biology lessons should have taught us.
MY FLABBY STOMACH STORY...
After leaving school where I was active and often accused of "hollow
legs" through my appetite, I started a desk based day job and slipped
into _a lifestyle dominated by sitting down_.
By the age 33, all of the modern life style of convenience eating
and driving instead of walking was taking its toll on the waistband.
My wife was horrified (she said) that I was having to buy bigger
waistbands on clothes, and the holes on my belt were a memory of a
slimmer time gone.
Last summer, I was looking through the photos of me on the beach and
could not believe I was that flabby!.
FAST FORWARD 2 YEARS AND HUNDREDS OF HOURS OF TRIAL AND ERROR.
After trying a number of diets and regimes I was finding that while
the results were there they did not stay for long.
I have always been a person to ask why. WHY DO THAT DIET? WHAT IS
THE BENEFIT OF THAT FOOD? Often the diet plan was only half of the
story and it was frustrating not understanding why I was doing what I
was being asked of in my "latest diet".
AFTER OVER 230 OF HOURS OF RESEARCH TO GET TO A NEW APPROACH.
That's when I started researching the whole picture. To understand
what my body was doing when I did what I did. The information was
surprising and when I understood what the recipe for success was the
results were amazing.
Taking the whole process back to the simple formula and then
_turning that formula into simple actionable "Love Handle burning"
results_
TO BE HONEST, I WAS STILL A BIT (LOT!) SKEPTICAL
Even having taken the time myself to work out what was going to be
successful.
I have tried many diets. Atkins was a good idea and worked for a
while but I could not live on chicken, beef and cheese. the kellogs
challenge is also a good one but how long can you survive on two bowls
of bran a day.
Then there are the "extreme diets" where you live on water and lemon
juice. It works great if you are a film star babe with monumental self
control but I could not imagine it working for me.
A QUICK SOLUTION TO LOSING A BIT OF FAT AROUND YOUR WAIST
I wanted a quick solution that would lose some weight fast. A
program that I would see quick results where there was an end point.
Something that i could focus on. also not too long. I know i can be a
bit unfocussed and after a week or so am always sniffing around the
cookie jar in the kitchen.
Gazing into the fridge feeling guilty for looking.
LOSE THE LOVEHANDLES WITHOUT STARVING
This one had to be fast without starving! A plan that was sensible
and nutritious. Was also not going to mess with my insides and make me
all bunged up (thats what mr Atkins doesnt tell you!) So. Lots of
research and investigation into what makes us fat.
"We are what we eat" is what we are told. Control your portion size,
Eat meat / dont eat meat. Eat bread dont have dairy. Too much
confusion and there has to be a simple balance for simple people.
SOLUTION : A SIMPLE PLAN, WITH A SHORT TIMEFRAME AND NO MORE
LOVEHANDLES!
My plan to lose my love handles had to be simple and follow some
rules, 4 simple ones.
* A SHORT PROGRAMME that would last just 7 days (i can always do it
again)
* FAST RESULTS. I need to be seeing progres from the start
* ACHIEVEABLE. We all know that the 20lbs in 10 days has surely got
to hurt. but 10LBS SHOULD SURELY BE ACHIEVEABLE THEN
* INTERESTING. I did not want to be eating lettuce for a week -
Boring and i will cheat.
I FAILED BEFORE BECAUSE THE RESULTS WERE TOO SLOW
Most books and websites i had read were telling me to set out on a
long (and i mean more than 10 days) diet that I am sure works but only
if you have robotic self control and a love of salad.
I do understand you have to control what you do put in, ITS GOT TO
BE LESS THAN YOU ARE BURNING IN ORDER TO LOSE WEIGHT, but variety is
also important.
Without variety you end up snacking just to keep it interesting, and
thats where i had failed before. So what did i come up with that
worked?
* An understanding of my bodyweight, An exact target, based on
science, not my "idea" of what i whould be
* A discovery of how my body can belp me get to that target weight
if I let it
* A 7 day programme of eating cleverly, that will work to shed the
extra around my middle
* The exact plan, no points to count or meals to invent....A CLEAR

* A program of exercise that will flatten my stomach
The best part was, this was a plan that I could follow. It is short,
