"Have you just found out your pregnant or are part way through your pregnancy?" Do you want some practical down to earth help and advice on what on earth is happening to you?"

"look no further this guide is for you"

Dear mum to be,

You've just found out your pregnant, and when it has finally sunk in that you're going to be a parent, you start to realise that things are really going to change.

Not just with your life when your little bundle arrives, but throughout your pregnancy with your body and the various decisions that you have to make.

There are a lot of assumptions made by the medical profession when a woman gets pregnant. They assume she knows what is happening to her body what she should do to take care of herself during pregnancy and what to do when your little one decides that they are going to make an appearance into this big wide world.

The truth of the matter is, that unless you're a midwife or a doctor actually you really don't have a clue about the changes your body will go thorough and what a birth plan is, should you even make one? Why do you feel like crying when the duvet cover won't go on properly or your favourite pair of trousers will no longer do up?

I was in this position when I had my daughter and I found I was having to trawl through the internet and so many books that gave me too much information on things that really weren't important. There are the essential things that every woman should know and I decided that it was about time there was a place where this information could be found without having to spend hours looking for it.

I also decided that as a mum I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with other mums to be. Too many of these advice books are written without regard for feelings and emotions. They are written medically and while that's ok for some I personally found I'd like to know more about my choices so I can decide what's best for my child. After all I'm going to be the one bringing her up, not my doctor or midwife!
