It was August 7 and Ray “The Hitman” Penny came to me because he
had a fight coming up and had concerns about his conditioning. He’d
never been out of the first round before and didn’t feel confident
if the fight had to move to the second, let alone the third.

This was our first meeting and I performed a full assessment on him
to see what he was made of. When I first meet with a new athlete, I do
a full history, go over their current training schedule, measure body
composition, strength, endurance, flexibility, and their current level
of conditioning in a variety of tests.

It was worse than I thought.

One round of one of my ‘cardio’ workouts and he was toast. I
call my cardio workouts 'NRG System Complexes' because they test your
body's 3 energy systems simultaneously. What I could see was that all
3 systems needed work, meaning that once the pace of a fight was
elevated, Ray wouldn't be able to keep up.

Ray said that he felt "totally spent" after that one, 5 minute
workout.

Have you ever felt this way in training or a fight?

You feel pretty good and then the pace gets pushed a bit and then
you gas out pretty quickly?

If so, you know it's a terrible feeling.

On top of that, he had a pre-existing injury that needed to be
worked around.

I knew I had my work cut out for me. But one thing that I saw, was
that he was willing to work hard and follow the plan. This is crucial,
and is why I knew I could help him.

Fast forward to November 23, and Ray calls me after his fight
against Dwayne Lewis and left a pretty excited message on my answering
machine.

Ray pulled out a decision victory against a guy who he was worried
about outlasting him, when in fact, it was Ray who was imposing his
will at the end of the fight. Hear what he had to say after training
on The Ultimate Strength and Conditioning Program for MMA Fighters:

Elevated Conditioning to a Whole New Level

Ray "The Hitman" Penny, Pro MMA Fighter

If You're Nervous About Your
Conditioning, Your Skills Will Suffer

Are you completely confident in your level of conditioning, or do
you know that it could be vastly improved?

If you're not totally confident in your conditioning, then you've
got a right to be nervous.

Sooner or later, no matter how skilled you are, you're going to go
the distance. You know it and I know it.

And if you're not sure if you're capable of surviving at the end of
the 3rd round, your game is going to change.

If you're scared of the fight going to the third round, you'll open
yourself up more to go for the quick win, leaving yourself vulnerable
to being KO'ed.

I know exactly how you feel. I was a nervous wreck at my first BJJ
tournament. I was calm and cool until the ref yelled, "Fight!" then it
all went down hill.

Because of my nerves, I couldn't think clearly enough to pull off
the moves I could normally do with ease during training.

After watching video of my fight, I could see exactly what I
should've done. But during the fight, my mind was completely blank.

When I grabbed my opponents collars I must've been gripping with all
my strength because by the end of the match I couldn't move my hands.

Luckily I pulled out the win by points, and went on to fight 4 more
matches, placing 4th out of 52 competitors.

But that first match took a ton out of me and I didn't have any more
explosiveness left because my nervous system was shot.

I was upset that I couldn't pull off the moves that I could easily
do in training.

So if you're not following a program that's been proven to elevate
your strength and conditioning where it counts the most - in the
octagon - then you're leaving yourself open to losing a fight due to
nerves.

_Finally_, You Can Have Supreme
Confidence In Your Conditioning

Before you read any further, consider these questions and check the
box if your answer is 'YES':

* HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THE SAME WORKOUTS IN THE GYM, OVER AND OVER?

*

Would you dedicate 1 hour, 3 times a week if you knew you could
develop a rock-solid core, explosive power and cardio that will leave
you ready for more?

*

Do you want to learn a program that is based on science and proven
in the octagon?

*

Are you ready for grueling conditioning workouts that will prepare
you to go the distance and be fresh at the end of it?

*

Does your current strength and conditioning routine demand too much
time or leave you too tired and sore to effectively train your
mixed-martial arts skills?

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, then you'll want
to keep reading...

"Why are you sharing your secrets?"

To be honest, I'm not sharing my secrets solely for you. I'm being a
bit greedy, and the reason why I'm sharing everything I've learned
through years of research and experience is because I'm not just a
coach, I'm also a fan, like you.

I love watching two athletes step into the cage to test their skills
against each other. I follow the UFC, as well as the smaller
organizations, especially when my athletes are competing.

What really gets me upset is when a fighter, who may be a highly
skilled mixed-martial artist, gasses out and can't execute any
techniques, and usually ends up losing a fight that they could have
won if they had been in shape.

The best fights are those where neither athlete gets tired at all
and the winner is the athlete who is able to outclass their opponent.

So I figured I'd release this program to the public in the hopes of
elevating the level of conditioning of mixed-martial arts, to make my
favourite sport more enjoyable to watch.

More Than Enough Gas for the UFC

"Eric Wong is my secret weapon. The peak conditioning level he
pushes me to reach before each fight gives me extreme confidence in
the cage."

Jeff Joslin, UFC Fighter

Introducing the Ultimate MMA
Strength and Conditioning Program

I talk with a lot of mixed-martial artists, since I do BJJ. What I
found was that I’d usually hear the same questions over and over,
such as:

How many times a week should I lift weights/do cardio since I’m
doing MMA?

What exercises are the best for MMA?

I don’t have enough time to do extra conditioning. Do I actually
need it since I’m training MMA 5 days a week?

I’m doing one day of chest, one day of back, one day for legs,
one day for arms and shoulders. Is this a good split?

You see, MOST OF THE ATHLETES WHO ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS ARE JUST
LIKE YOU: they use Google to try and find a proper program, or they go
on forums and post their questions and get responses from armchair
coaches (mostly 13 year old kids).

Or they’ll buy magazines for the latest workouts, but
unfortunately, these sources all provide you with one thing that you
don’t need: _confusion_. There’s so much conflicting info coming
from all angles: IT’S LIKE FIGHTING OFF FOUR OPPONENTS AT ONCE.

Most Mixed-Martial Artists Are Totally _Confused_
About How To Train To Improve Their Performance

And so I created the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning Program
with the goal of completely removing the confusion about how to train
for maximum mixed-martial arts performance.

You'll learn exactly:

*

How and when to perform conditioning workouts, strength training,
power training and more for peak performance
*

The most efficient conditioning routines ever that will give you
cardio for days in 25 minutes or less per workout (if you're doing
cardio for longer than 25 minutes, you're wasting time that would be
better spent training your skills)

* The exact exercises that will improve the power of your MMA
techniques (you're not a bodybuilder, so don't train like one)

That’s why there are no ‘shoulder days’ or ‘chest days’ in
this program. Each workout is designed with a specific goal in mind as
an overall part of the program to improve what you need to throw more
powerful punches, execute explosive takedowns, and pull off slick
submissions, without leaving you sore and with no energy for your
skills training. That way you won't develop bad habits that might get
you knocked out.

Plus, since you're probably just like most of the athletes I train,
you know that strength and conditioning is crucial, but you need to
find an effective program that takes into consideration the fact that
you have a life outside of MMA training.

So there are 3 things that you need when looking for a MMA specific
conditioning program.

The 3 Most Important Aspects of a
Strength and Conditioning Program
for MMA Fighters

*

It has to get results where it counts – in the cage
*

It’s got to be a simple, step-by-step program that lays out
exactly what to do and when to do it (after all, this is a program for
fighters)
*

It must be efficient so that guys who do MMA but also have jobs or
families can follow the program completely, without sacrificing their
lives

"So, does this program get results?"

Just ask Rory...

Increased Cardio, Strength, and Explosiveness

"I owe my solid conditioning base to Eric. As a professional fighter
conditioning is king. Even more important, however, is having enough
confidence in your conditioning to give 100% effort in the ring for
the duration of the fight, without worrying about gassing out.

Eric's program gave me that confidence. The regimen drastically
improved my cardio, strength, and my explosiveness."

Rory McDonell, Pro MMA Fighter

"Is the program easy to follow?"

Watch this 40 second video to see just how easy I've made this
program for you to follow:

Nutrition-itsu
The art of eating for performance and health

Learning how to eat is just like any other martial arts discipline
- it takes commitment, time, effort, practice, and patience.

Nutrition-itsu will teach you 6 Katas that, if followed, will
provide you with abundant energy, health, a lean body, and maximum MMA
performance.

Included are some sample meal plan templates and recipes to get you
started.

Retail Value: $39

No Sweat Weight Cutting
The safe and effective way to cut for MMA

Many athletes use dangerous and foolish methods of cutting weight
such as riding a bike in a sauna with a garbage bag on. Doing this may
or may not harm your health, but it will definitely drain your energy
for your fight.

Instead, follow the methods I've used with my athletes that I've
outlined in this plan and you'll easily lose 15 pounds and feel better
than ever come fight time.

Retail Value: $29

Exercise Videos for your iPod
Follow along for perfect exercise technique

I also understand that you probably can't bring your computer to
they gym to workout while watching the videos, so I've gotten all of
the exercise videos published for your iPod. Every exercise video is
included so you can watch the proper technique as you're working out.
