Dear Hockey Friend,
I urge you to read every word of this report as if your entire
future depended on it or that of your kid...
You see, last month when I was searching through some articles on
hockey, I came across an interesting report written by a top hockey
trainer in Canada.
The stuff he was talking about I had never heard before... stuff
like the 'four-legged stool approach to developing elite players' or
the 'track and crack effect'. All really eye-popping stuff. I'll
explain more about it in a minute...
But first let me give you a little bit of background about me...
I'm a certifiable hockey nut! I love it! Everything about the sport
since I was five years old I can't get enough of. Growing up I was a
pretty good player. I was always one of the better players on my
teams, and managed to even make it to a couple all-star games.
And, just like any hockey kid - I had dreams of some day hoisting
the Stanley Cup over my head... I couldn't even begin to count the
number of times I pretended to be Bobby Orr - scoring the game-winner
on my grandparent's frozen back-yard pond outside of Boston, with my
cousins hacking and slashing at me along the way...
Looking back I always regretted not putting a little more effort
into it... or wishing my parents could have found me some better
coaching. I know I could have gone a lot further, if I had some better
guidance.
Which is why, now that I'm a dad with two little demons on skates,
I scour the internet trying to absorb the best hockey info available.
I Love Google!
Okay... enough about me and trying to re-live old glories. Let's get
back to the report... When I hopped online last month and googled
'hockey training' a link to a special report popped up.
Curious... I clicked on it. And was immediately amazed at the
author's depth of knowledge about hockey. Especially about training
player's to become 'elite' level athletes.
The 'four-legged stool' thing I was talking about earlier is his
method for building those highend players. And, it must be working,
because he works with over 30 professional players and is the trusted
development coach for rookies and prospects for an NHL team.
So, What are the four components of the stool??
* Focused On-Ice Training... “Drills don't improve skills - the
RIGHT drills improve skills!”
* Off-Ice Training for Skill-Specific Development... “Every
off-ice minute should have a purpose...”
* Mental Toughness And Sport Psychology Support... “To ignore
this aspect of hockey is the most critical mistake players, parents
and coaches make.”
* And, Nutritional Guidance for body and genetic specific
requirements... “Every body has different requirements, which is why
nutrition needs to be targeted.”
This is the interactive feedback system. Based on the responses to
the questions from today's workout and your overall health... the
upcoming workouts will change. Now you won't need to worry about
over-exerting yourself and causing un-needed injury!
Every word of his special report made it abundantly clear as to
where I was going wrong with my sons... I was repeating the cycle! I
was just doing what everyone else did... like the blind following the
blind.
He also talked about the importance of 'tracking'... or as he likes
to refer to it - 'the track-andcrack effect'. What he means is - the
players that track their improvements in games or workouts seem to
always crack into the higher levels.
Whether, that's going from the fourth line to the first line... or
going from a lower division to a higher division. You can't improve if
you're not tracking your progress...
The more I read, the more I was convinced I needed to have my kids
trained by him... but I was in Boston and he was alllll the way up in
Edmonton, Canada. Not exactly ideal!
But I called anyway to see if he had some guidance for me or if he
knew someone good in my area, seeing is he's so well-connected.
I Got Lucky!
After telling him how much I enjoyed his report and begging him to
move to Boston (just kidding of course) he told me about a
state-of-the-art online training system he developed for his pro
clients.
It turns out he worked with a software company to provide an online
tool for his clients to access anywhere in the world.
The system is specifically designed to give players the support,
training, and guidance they need in all four critical areas. PLUS -
IT'S INTERACTIVE.
Any of his team experts can log into the trainer and adjust your
workouts, based on your improvement and feedback!
How do I know???
Because he let me and my sons in on the beta testing of the
software and membership site... and its pretty cool!
There's video's, audio's, off-ice workouts and skill-building
drills... but what's even better, it's the same stuff his pro clients
pay him a pretty penny for!
This also happens to be the exact same system, Stanley Cup Champions
Carolina Hurricanes, use to to develop their players. But he's
modified and tweaked it so players at any level can use it'
So... Who is this mystery guy??
