WHAT'S A BOOK WORTH? Well, that's the question we all have to deal
with. If we're talking about a novel, no one is going to pay $40 for a
book no matter how good the story is. But what about nonfiction?
I received an ad in the mail a few weeks ago for a book dealing
with, what else-marketing books.The cheapest way to buy this book is
as a downloadable PDF file. The cost to download the book: $1,250!
That's a lot for one book! But without the information in the book,
guys like me could lose tons of money in book sales every year. One
can also download individual chapters for $350. Wow! I say "wow" but
I've bought it myself and I get the updated version every year. A
little electronic file with no mass, no weight, no volume and yet
plenty of these books sell every year.
Nonfiction books solve problems and bring understanding to readers.
The bigger the problems the book can solve, the more that book is
worth to readers.
